Last Legend 5: The Pinnacle Library

The team explores the library and encounters monsters of page and book

The team defeated the remaining Watcher from Last Legend 4: Abominations and Books and then delved deeper into the Pinnacle Library. 

Eventually, they found a room with a dead courtyard and an abandoned well. The room was lined with unlit candles, which Balthazar had his fire elemental light. As the candles were lit, torn pages flew up from the well, forming into a Page Monster. The group fought against the monster which fled into another room before they were able to destroy it.

The room the monster fled to had numerous bookshelves and three locked cabinets. Opening the cabinets, the group found one of the books they were looking for, as well as an angry-seeming sentient monster book that followed after them, biting at their ankles. 

As they continued to search the library, the group found more of the books from Dyab's list, and more sentient books began to pile on with the one that had been following them.

Eventually, they reached the main room of the library which they continued to search and find more books. Eventually, Balthazar found the book that Dyab' had told them would validate the one he already had which spoke to the Doska family's noble status. As he did so, the living books formed a Book Barrage which chased after the group, pursuing them until they left the library.

  • Arthur Grant-A machinist from Kstivan looking for someone from his past
  • Balthazar-An elementalist from Sniya, and a member of the League of Arcanists
  • Kesua-A mysterious figure, capable of moving through the shadows
  • Tyosa Doska-The son of a family of merchant princes from Hifdi
