Balthazar, Aanso, Arthur Grant, and Kesua all appeared suddenly in what appeared to be a cavern made of crystals. Kismo and Ubna were no longer with them, but they were joined by Tyosa Doska.

The party all introduced themselves to one another.

In the room of the cavern where they appeared (A), there was a pedestal upon which sat a locked box and a key. Balthazar tried to examine the box, but ended up dropping it. The bottom of the box broke open, dropping out gears and springs that were part of a mechanism. Opening the box with the key, the team found that it had a small statue of a couple dancing in it center. The gears and parts of the lower mechanism began to move with the box open, but without the parts that had broken its true purpose remained unfinished.

Arthur was able to reassemble the box, after which, when opened, the box played a simple, repetitive, three note song and the statue of the couple danced around the box in circles.

There were three doors in the room where the group had awoken (left, right, and center.) Aanso consulted his sense of the future as to if the center path would provide favorable results, and he felt as though it would. The team opened the center door and began down a very long hallway (D). The hall had a groove running down the center, and there were places where the crystals along the walls had been broken or smoothed over. This led the group to believe it might be the case that a giant ball or boulder may have rolled down the hall many times. The hall ended in a door without a handle and a lever on the crystalline wall. The door seemed to bulge outwards towards them. Pulling the lever, the door raised upwards into the ceiling and a small stone ball (about five inches across) rolled down the hall. Arthur grabbed it for safekeeping.

The room on the other side of the door (E) held four levers and one large button. On the far side of the room was a closed door with no handles.

Tyosa went to the button while the other members of the group each went to one of the levers. Tyosa pressed the button, the door they had entered through slammed closed behind them, and a loud voice began a countdown, counting down from 10. Before it reached the end, Arthur pulled the lever near him. There was a mechanical whirling sound in the crystals behind him, and the countdown restarted. Several times, Tyosa pressed the button as the countdown neared its end, and each time the count restarted. At last, they let the countdown run out, and both doors opened up.

Progressing down the hallway, the group saw a smaller hallway that extended out to the right, but given that it looked like a tight squeeze threatened by sharp crystals, they opted to take the door in front of them. This led them to a room (G) with a flat stone wall in which were three rows of eight holes, each of which appeared bout the size of a dagger blade.

The group returned to the hall, and Kesua teleported down the skinny path to the room beyond (F). Here, she found a dagger made of yellow crystal.

The group returned to where they started (A) and went through the eastern door to a small room in which there was a statue (B). The statue was labeled as the statue of Gneil Knowledgeknife, the gnome, and it held a red crystal dagger. Below the name on the statue was the following inscription:

“A bottle of future and a bottle of past
Are held in a kiss that holds both of them fast.
When one of them takes, then the other one gives
And then they trade places as long as each lives.”

The group debated what to do about this statue, but decided to check the remaining room (C) first. Here they found a chest and a lever surrounded by metal plates. Upon the chest was a small inscription which Kesua had to get close to the chest in order to read. It said "Pull lever to open." After some debate, Arthur constructed a small mechanical raptor which he directed to pull the lever. The raptor did so, and the chest opened to reveal a dagger made of blue crystal.

Returning to the room with the statue, Arthur tried to use his tools to pry the red dagger from the statue's hand, but only ended up bending his screwdriver in the process. In the end, Balthazar used his magic to explode the statue and break the dagger free.

The group returned to the room with the slots in the wall and found that when they placed a dagger in the wall, it made a musical note. By arranging the daggers in a way to imitate the notes of the song of the music box, they were able to solve the puzzle and the wall slid away, allowing them access to another room where they found a stairway.

The stairway took the group to the second floor where they found a large crystalline ballroom (H) in which a short winged figure was waiting for them. This figure revealed himself to be Feste. Some conversation was had with Feste in which it was discussed that Ubna has been trying to fix the future by burning up a crystal, and she has done so many times already, and that the members of the group are often included in those affected by the attempts. Feste explained that the members of the group now had their fates tied to an object he called the Dochysh Jeq. He said that Bellum had awakened and had some connections to the Robots who caused the Echoing Eclipse and which had continued to be a problem for humanity since then. He claimed that the robot threat was going to get worse before it got better, and that Ubna was concerned with fixing this in order to prevent worse problems later on.

Feste also explained that he was holding them in this realm, because he wanted to meet them, and that he would let them go once the conversation was finished. Indeed, when the group decided they had nothing else to say to Feste, he did just that.

The group showed up back atop Mūsūyya Tower. Here, Kismo and Yandi were discussing events. Yandi asked Balthazar for a report of what had happened, but when he started talking about crystal caverns and Living Crystals and a Colorless person, she decided it would be better to let him leave and regain his sanity and file a report later. Tyosa asked Kismo about the archery contest. She was happy about winning, but confused about his asking, as she did not seem to have met him before.

The trio left the tower and went to the Broken Stein Tavern. Here, Itbi gave them drinks on the house, and also brought them a box that had been left for them. Inside was the jeweled spike that Feste had called the Dochysh Jeq and a letter for each member of the party.

Tyosa's Ubna Letter indicate that he should visit a man named Dyab’ in the town of Datdūm for information about what he is searching for.

Aanso's Pia Letter apologized for the confusion and advised him to stay with the people around him.

Balthazar's Ubna Letter indicated that the key to solving the problem is within him, and that it will require a giant crystal from the Guugbian Crystal Fields.

Arthur's Ubna Letter indicated that the person he's seeking has become an intelligence asset for a potentially disasterous military force.

Kesua's Ubna Letter indicated that there was a box of interest to the people she works for in the tunnels underneath Datdūm.

The trio rested that night at the Broken Stein Tavern and set out the next morning for Datdūm. On their way out of town, they saw Swats arguing with Aadu. Swats explained that Aadu's daughter, Lyatbi, had been missing for several days and that she was concerned about it (even though Aadu isn't) in part because of the increased robot activity in the area. The group told Swats they would send Lyatbi back to Mūsūyya if they came upon her in their journey.
