Book of Destiny Preview: Cover Art

See the really spectacular picture above that I commissioned for the cover of The Book of Destiny! It features three of the many awesome characters that you'll find in the story.

The main characters mostly fall into three groups, so I thought it was important that the cover represent one from each. Going from left to right, you have the following:


Mara Quirke-Quincy is a missionary for the Church of the Creator, but she was raised as a warrior and a champion of a different faith altogether. Throughout The Book of Destiny, Mara tries to help the people of a small Inner Circle world, and to protect from threats that come from both within the world as well as outside of it.

Itzal Zabala-Fourteen years old, Itzal has been forced to grow up fast--having been thrown into a coliseum where he regularly has to fight for his own survival. Itzal is a chaosmorph (more info on those later); his left arm replaced by a series of floating stones. He has a particular command of the Essence, and has used his ability to rip through the weave in his gladiatorial bouts. The Book of Destiny will continue Itzal's time facing issues that are well above his age. If he will grow and adapt, or if he will become the monster that others see still remains to be seen.

Casimir Lecuyer-Casimir is the commander of a Hand of the Knights of Selas. This makes him something of a law enforcement authority on the Sparkling Band world of Navtyi. However, his journey forces his involvement in a battle between good and evil. Now, he must fight for the light, find and protect an important person, and maintain his duty to his country while doing it.
